  • Whether you have tried physical therapy before without success or this is your first time needing therapy, one thing is always true: Your body and life experiences are unique to you. Therefore, your physical therapy treatment should reflect these differences and be specific to your individual needs.

Ten people may be diagnosed with "sciatica". However, the cause of each person's leg and back pain can be completely different depending on each person's history (sports, car accidents, stress level, work environment, etc) and thus needs to be treated differently.

At C.A.R.E. Physical Therapy, your physical therapist will analyze your body and its unique mechanics from head to toe to determine the cause of your pain. Sometimes the location of your pain is not the location of the root cause. Therefore, you need a treatment plan that will address your pain while also affecting the core problem. This whole body approach ensures success with a broad range of people whether they have tried physical therapy before or not.

At each visit, you will receive 45-60 minutes of one-on-one treatment with a therapist that best suits your individual needs. With an emphasis in manual therapy, your therapist will use her hands to release or mobilize the areas of your body that are tight or restricted. A manual therapy (hands-on) treatment may include, but is not limited to:

    • Myofascial Release
    • Joint Mobilization
    • Deep Soft Tissue Mobilization
    • Craniosacral Therapy

In addition to releasing restrictions, your therapist will help you re-educate any weak, unstable and/or overused areas that are a part of your pain pattern. This will lead you toward normal mobility, better balance is achieved and your pain is eliminated.

Most importantly, you will leave C.A.R.E. with some tools that will allow you to maintain this optimum level of strength and balance - helping you to better manage your own health.
